Community Alcohol and Drug Services (CADS) Auckland - Medical Detox Services

The CADS Medical Detoxification service is for people who have a physical dependence on alcohol or other drugs (e.g. opiates, methamphetamines, benzos).

Physical dependence is when people:

  • Need to increase how much they take to get the same effect
  • Suffer physical withdrawal symptoms, such as shaking, sweating and vomiting if they stop drinking or using drugs

We offer a community and home detoxification service and a 10 bed inpatient facility with 24-hour medical supervision.

To access our service, you can phone 845 1818. Alternatively, you can access our walk-in clinic which is based at Pitman House, 50 Carrington Rd, Pt Chevalier. The clinic operates from 10.00am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday, and no appointment is necessary.
